SMC FRP mold is a combined plastic mold used for compression molding, extrusion, injection, blow molding and low foaming molding. It mainly includes a female mold with a variable cavity composed of a female mold combined substrate, a female mold assembly and a female mold combined chuck, and a male mold with a variable core composed of a male mold combined substrate, a male module, a male mold combined chuck, a cavity cutting assembly and a side section combined plate. Because there are many kinds of plastics and processing methods, and the structures of plastic molding machines and plastic products are complex and simple, the types and structures of plastic molds are also diverse. Laying steps of SMC FRP mold:
1. After the gel coat of the mold starts to solidify, it can start to lay. The laying process shall not be too fast. Usually, 2-3 layers of glass fiber cloth or glass fiber felt shall be laid every day.
2. Some amount of mold resin shall be used for laying. The function of this resin is better than that of ordinary resins. During the laying process, workers shall prepare glue, that is, a accelerator and a curing agent shall be added to the resin.
3. Apply glue with gluing material, lay a layer of glass fiber fabric and apply a layer of glue. Together, use iron roller to flush the fabric, drain the bubbles and make the glue uniform. After reaching the set thickness, the paving is completed.
In general, the thickness of SMC FRP mold should reach 3-5 times of the commodity thickness. Therefore, the laying time is usually longer, and it can continue for 6-7 days.
